First off, I wanted to apologize for how quiet it’s been here on the blog lately. Busy season is in full swing and thus most of my waking hours are spent at sessions, meetings, or in front of the computer chained to my desk editing away! As always, for the sessions I do have a chance to blog this fall, I won’t be posting the “best” family shots from those. I want all my clients to be able to surprise their friends & family if they use one of those images for their Christmas cards. Don’t want to spoil the fun of that!
Ok, now to start off my round of fall sessions, here’s a sneak peek from a recent session I’m finishing the edits for right now. I look forward to seeing this sweet family each year when fall rolls around. This year’s fall session was full of energy & lots of laughter, as you can probably tell by the first image ;)
I was so thrilled when my cousin Richard sent me an email with the news that another little one would be joining their family soon. I guess Richard Allen wanted to join in on all the family fun early, because he made his debut at just 31 weeks. Thankfully, after several weeks in the hospital he was able to go home and I started packing my bags for a trip to North Carolina. Here are some of my favorites from the few days I spent in Wake Forest with this precious family.
And we of course had to do some updated pictures of big sister Catherine. Last time I photographed her she was a tiny little thing herself.
Thank you Richard & Jennifer for once again welcoming me (and all my photography stuff) into your home. It was such a blessing being able to spend time with all of you. Please give Catherine & Richard Allen hugs from their “cousin Claire”.

I always love it when moms & dads wait to be surprised with whether they’ll be taking home a baby boy or girl. My parents choose to do the same with me and my 4 siblings, and I guess I’ve just always loved that element of surprise that must come with that. This precious baby girl’s parents wanted to be surprised too, and I myself admit I was a bit giddy with excitement when I got their email with the subject line “It’s a GIRL!” What a sweet time I had with this very loved baby girl. Meet beautiful Norah Mae, on day 6.
Doesn’t she have the best head of hair? Talk about precious!

Oh my gosh…..Even being there in person during Claire’s shoot did not prepare me fully for how beautiful these photos are ! Little Norah never takes a BAD picture, but they are so special..I can’t WAIT to frame some of these for the house and share them with family and friends !

This cute little fella is the 3rd boy to be welcomed into this family, and I must say he made my job look quite easy. Such a peaceful little guy. Meet Ryder, 8 days old and completely adorable.
This next one is an example of what I like to call the “icing on the cake” shot. haha. Sometimes siblings love snuggling next to their new baby brother or sister, sometimes not so much. Lucky for me, big brothers Connor and Mason took a break from playing superheroes, and we were able to get some images of them loving on their new baby brother. Talk about 3 handsome boys!

Ryder is my great nephew and my mother, who lives with me, celebrated his birth as her fourth great grandchild. The pictures are wonderful and bring us much happiness since we live way out in western Oklahoma. Kathryn and Marie Harrison
