I guess my college professors were kind of right when they told me I would go back to school in some form one day. Although a photography workshop is not the typical school setting, it is where I go as a photographer to learn and grow as an artist. Earlier this summer I traveled to gorgeous Montana for the JinkyArt Workshop, taught by the fabulous Barb Uil of Australia. I have been inspired by her work for the past several years, so when I found out she was coming to the US, I jumped at the opportunity as I knew this was one that doesn’t come around often. It was such a privilege to be able to learn from Barb, and I am so grateful to her for sharing her talent and wisdom with each of us. And as with every workshop I have attended over the past few years, connecting with the other talented photographers is always one of my most favorite parts. It was an amazing 3 days that I will never forget. I have come back feeling so inspired and excited to incorporate all the ideas I have into my clients’ sessions this fall. Bring on the cooler weather!
