Richard Allen + Catherine

I was so thrilled when my cousin Richard sent me an email with the news that another little one would be joining their family soon. I guess Richard Allen wanted to join in on all the family fun early, because he made his debut at just 31 weeks. Thankfully, after several weeks in the hospital he was able to go home and I started packing my bags for a trip to North Carolina. Here are some of my favorites from the few days I spent in Wake Forest with this precious family.

And we of course had to do some updated pictures of big sister Catherine. Last time I photographed her she was a tiny little thing herself.

Thank you Richard & Jennifer for once again welcoming me (and all my photography stuff) into your home. It was such a blessing being able to spend time with all of you. Please give Catherine & Richard Allen hugs from their “cousin Claire”.

Norah

I always love it when moms & dads wait to be surprised with whether they’ll be taking home a baby boy or girl. My parents choose to do the same with me and my 4 siblings, and I guess I’ve just always loved that element of surprise that must come with that. This precious baby girl’s parents wanted to be surprised too, and I myself admit I was a bit giddy with excitement when I got their email with the subject line “It’s a GIRL!” What a sweet time I had with this very loved baby girl. Meet beautiful Norah Mae, on day 6.

Doesn’t she have the best head of hair? Talk about precious!

Ryder

This cute little fella is the 3rd boy to be welcomed into this family, and I must say he made my job look quite easy. Such a peaceful little guy. Meet Ryder, 8 days old and completely adorable.

This next one is an example of what I like to call the “icing on the cake” shot. haha. Sometimes siblings love snuggling next to their new baby brother or sister, sometimes not so much. Lucky for me, big brothers Connor and Mason took a break from playing superheroes, and we were able to get some images of them loving on their new baby brother. Talk about 3 handsome boys!

Stella {Dallas Newborn Photographer}

A sneak peek from this past week’s session with a perfect little bundle of joy, Stella Rose. Her proud big brother Hank joined us toward the end of our session, and at one point I heard him telling his mom how much he loved baby Stella. Talk about melting my heart!

I am so excited to introduce twin boys William and Luke, who surprised their parents by arriving on April 29…much earlier than their July 13 due date. I was thrilled to finally meet them last week when they were both home from the NICU. From the moment I walked in the door, I could feel the abundance of love surrounding these handsome boys. Welcome to the world sweet William and Luke!

Matthew {Dallas Newborn Photographer}

Last week I was lucky enough to spend part of my day with this sweet boy. His parents were super laid back and just in awe of their new little guy. I bet you can tell why… He is adorable and very loved! Mom & Dad have been incredibly patient waiting on their sneak peek so without further adieu, here is precious Matthew on day 7.

P.S. For those that saw the announcement I posted over facebook about the new blog, you can tell the it has been delayed a bit. I want it to be just right before I announce it, and being the perfectionist I am, I don’t feel it is there quite yet. I promise it will be worth the wait ;)
